Hub71 & HPE To Help Abu Dhabi’s IT Startup Community

At the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit (GMIS), Hub71, Abu Dhabi’s global tech ecosystem, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) inked an MoU to work on a number of mutually beneficial programmes aimed at nurturing tech start-ups. Founders will have direct access to HPE specialists, mentorship, and possibilities to advance technologies in conjunction with the global edge-to-cloud firm.

The agreement, which was signed by Badr Al Olama, Hub71’s acting CEO, and Ahmad Alkhallafi, HPE’s managing director for the UAE, will enable an innovation acceleration ecosystem with genuine market need, processes, and technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing (HPC). Participating startups can use the HPE Digital Life Garage to test or build customer-requested prototypes or solutions, as well as host events to demonstrate these solutions.

“By partnering with HPE, Hub71 start-ups will be able to leverage domain expertise to bring cutting-edge solutions to the market,” Al Olama stated. Importantly, entrepreneurs can engage with HPE through our programmes and Community Centers of Excellence, which will provide professional knowledge and access to help them create and grow their business. Having HPE as a strategic partner enhances our value proposition, and we look forward to working together to make an impact on our startup community.”

HPE will take part in the next edition of Hub71’s annual partner challenge programme, The Outliers, in collaboration with corporate and government partners to address industry concerns. HPE will offer challenges for founders around the world to solve as part of the new relationship, with the winning start-up having the opportunity to earn money from Hub71 to develop the Proof of Concepts (POCs) chosen by HPE. Successful start-ups will be shortlisted to take advantage of Hub71’s comprehensive variety of adjustable incentives aimed at easing the start-up journey’s growth phase.

HPE will work with Hub71 to provide insights on market needs and demands to early-stage founders from Hub71’s venture building programme, Venture’s lab, so they can align their business strategies and product growth management.

“We are happy to cooperate with Hub71 to grow innovative startups in the UAE, and we look forward to participating in their latest programme to address industry concerns – a goal that is perfectly aligned with our mission to improve people’s lives and work,” Alkhallafi added. The HPE Digital Life Garage will play a critical role in connecting companies with cutting-edge technology, digital innovation knowledge, and tools to help them accelerate their innovation agendas.”
